Safety Policy
M&M Drilling is committed to a Health and Safety Program that protects our staff, our property, other workers who enter onto our property, and the general public. Our goal is a healthy, injury-free workplace for all employees. By working together in all parts of this program, we can achieve this goal. All employees, supervisors and managers of M&M Drilling are responsible for ensuring the safety program is continually updated and maintained. Employees at every level are responsible and accountable for the overall safety program and its initiatives. As an organization, we take responsibility in upholding this commitment by:
- Complying with all applicable safety laws, industry standards and M&M Drilling specific policies.
- Exercising sound judgment and common sense when undertaking any work-related tasks.
- Ensuring safety considerations are an integral part of our planning processes.
- Responding to safety emergencies in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Committing sufficient resources to the safety program and ensuring that all employees are fully informed and trained in safety while performing their duties.
- Ensuring an active approach is taken towards understanding any potential health, safety and environmental issues that may pertain to the work being completed.
All M&M Drilling employees, contractors and visitors that are on-site are responsible for obeying all safety rules, following safe work procedures, wearing the appropriate PPE, participating in all safety meetings and required training, and informing supervisors of any unsafe work conditions. All M&M Drilling employees, contractors and visitors on the worksite are not to participate in any activities deemed unsafe; they do have the right to refuse any unsafe work.
Management, employees, contractors and visitors on site are committed to meeting this policy now and in the future. M&M Drilling prides itself on ensuring that all crew members and office staff are appropriately trained, be it through formal tickets, on-site training or monthly safety meetings.
Safety Program
M&M Drilling maintains an up-to-date, comprehensive safety program that meets or exceeds industry and regulatory standards. We are COR-certified and remain in good standing with our certifying partner. In an attempt to ensure we meet the regulatory standards of our clients, we maintain our registration and 100% compliance with several safety management systems, including:



Environmental Policy
Protecting Canada's natural environment is a national concern. M&M Drilling shares that concern and is committed to minimizing the impact of its activities on the environment while managing our operations economically and efficiently. We take responsibility in upholding this commitment by:
- Complying with all applicable environmental and regulatory standards.
- Making environmental considerations an integral part of our planning process.
- Operating our vehicles and facilities in a manner that protects the environment.
- Identifying and mitigating the adverse impacts of our operations on the environment in keeping with good environmental and business practices.
- Remaining sensitive to the concerns of the public.
- Responding to environmental emergencies in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Committing sufficient resources to ensure that our employees are fully informed of their responsibilities and are trained to protect the environment while performing their duties.
Environmental Practices
The following has been implemented to ensure that M&M Drilling is conducting business in an environmentally-friendly manner:
- Ensuring proper disposal of all hazardous waste.
- Participation in a used oil exchange program.
- Recycling Program – paper, steel, pallets, hose reels.
- Spill Procedures – all units equipped with spill kits to address spills/leaks of hazardous materials (i.e. oil, fuel).
Management and employees are all committed to meeting this policy, now and in the future.
Each Water Well dug by M&M Drilling is drilled and completed to Alberta Environment Licensing Standards.
